Qigong Classes
Qigong Classes

Unlike many other exercises, qigong has to be learned from someone who has developed a subtle connection—someone who can manifest this subtle connection in a way where it no longer become subjective but becomes available for others to experience. No other method can replace this process.
Here, at Formless Form Qigong & Acupuncture, we strive to keep your qigong experience authentic. We stress simple techniques with lots of content. Contrary to the modern belief that qigong can be certifiable or learned from books, DVDs or weekend workshops—we take a more traditional approach. An approach that allows individuals to truly benefit by learning directly from Peng Her, in an environment that allows open discussion & caters to openness. Nothing is rushed & there is no room for competition.
We emphasize that qigong is a lifelong process & that no certificate can be awarded for being more content with life. The qigong teaching structure revolves solely around your individualized cultivation & growth, as well as the instructor. Qigong movement is easy to teach, however, energy awareness is most definitely not.
Our emphasis is on diligence in qigong practice & ethical behavior in daily life. With these in mind, students realize that not only can qigong benefit one's health but also awakens them to experiencing qigong as a form of spirituality & self-discovery.
All classes emphasize & over-emphasize the basics of qigong. Rather than focusing on "how many techniques you know", we focus on "how many techniques you know...well". This traditional method, allows us to take our time & analyze the subtleties of each technique. Most importantly, this method allows us to evolve, expand our awareness & appreciate the process.
Self-Healing Qigong vs. External Qigong/ Medical Qigong for Healing Others
At this time, all classes are designed for self-healing only. No classes are taught on external qigong or medical qigong for healing others.
Drop-Ins or Trial Classes
There are no drop-ins or trial classes. Traditionally, qigong sets or postures are practiced everyday for 100 days (about 3months) in order to attain benefits. Little is gained from one class. Any student, who has completed the "Introduction to Qigong Class", can attest to this.
Intro to Qigong Class
The introduction to qigong class is a 12-week class that meets once a week for 60 minutes. It's only offered 3 times per year, usually right after any "Free Lecture on Qigong" event. This class teaches & highlights the fundamental principles of Qigong.
Students with previous qigong training must learn how to deconstruct what they've learned & start fresh. Students who are new to qigong are discouraged from reading books or watching DVDs on qigong until after completing this class series. This method allows students to differentiate between raw qi sensations versus the powers of suggestion.
- One-time registration fee is $25.00.
- Introduction class fee is $280.00 & can be paid $85.00 per month for 3 months.
Month-by-Month Breakdown
In the first month, the Formless Form Qigong Center's basic set is taught & details explained.
In the second month, we test the practicality of the set & look into understanding the reasons for the set. Also, a documentary on Qigong will be shown during one of the classes.
In the third month, we cultivate diligence to gain benefit from the practice. And to top off your experience, the secret technique of "Opening Your Third-Eye" is revealed & discussed.
Transition Class
Completing the introduction class is necessary to attend this class. The transition class is a 6-week class that meets once a week for 90 minutes. This class activates immediately after the introduction to qigong class ends. It unveils further nuances to the basic set. Each nuance will add & amplify your experience with qigong. After this period, the Transition Class schedule will end & you can further your practice by participating in the Intermediate Class schedule.
- Transition class fee is $125.00
Please note that those wishing to take the Transition class are required to commit a 3-month minimum toward the Intermediate Class.
Intermediate Class
The intermediate class has no end or time limit. This class is an ongoing class. Diligent practice encourages deeper awareness. This class develops further refinement with emphasis on energy awareness & reaching a state of "no mind" or "empty mind". It is a path of seeking universal truth through the practice of breath & mental calm.
Many documentaries will be shown on Qigong, Tai Chi, & other topics relating to Qigong to expand your knowledge. Workshops will be held on topics such as: details of the basic set, qigong theory, basic TCM theory, etc. We also hope to bring experts from the community to speak on the wide spectrum of Complementary & Alternative care.
