Peng Her Bio
Biography: Peng Her, L.Ac.
Peng was introduced to qigong & meditation at age thirteen when he began learning martial arts. His uncles were his primary instructors, where he received a combined system of Chinese & Japanese influenced fighting & breathing system. With the progression of his physical & martial skill he was instructed to focus on meditation & qigong. Where his earlier qigong techniques were geared for more martial purposes, he currently practices techniques geared for self-healing & cultivating healer's energy.
Peng Her has almost 20 years of qigong experience. He received a large portion of his qigong healing instruction under Arnold E. Tayam: Doctor of Medical Qigong (China), in InfiniChi.
As far as qigong healing certificates, Peng strongly believes, "The ability to demonstrate carries more weight than completing a course & receiving a certificate. Comparing an individual who spends 3 or 4 weekends earning a certificate to one who dedicates their life to spiritual evolution (without earning a certificate) is a rather daunting misunderstanding."
After discovering that he could use qigong for healing he ventured into Traditional Chinese Medicine and attended Yo San University from 2004-2006 and transferred to the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM).
Peng continues to conduct countless lectures & demonstrations on the topic of qigong. He's featured in the Taking Charge of Your Health website, a program put together by the University of Minnesota: Center for Spirituality & Healing and the Life Science Foundation, as a qigong expert where he contributed on the topic of Qigong. He is an avid presenter in the Twin Cities metro area at various places & events such as: 2008 Ways of Knowing Symposium, St. Catherine University, University of Minnesota Systems, Minneapolis Community & Technical College, American Academy of Acupuncture & Oritental Medicine and local events such as the Twin Cities Yoga Festival, local Meditation Centers & Community Centers.
